Brand designer Kelsey Tara Nicole tucking her hair behind her ear while walking outdoors in black and white

In case we haven’t met yet, hello! I’m Kelsey Tara Nicole—I’m a brand identity designer based out of Toronto, Canada, but I’m also a traveller, a huge foodie, and a cat mom!

When I’m not illustrating icons or sourcing the perfect colours for an upcoming design project, I’m exploring new local restaurants (support local!) or on the hunt for a juicy kdrama to binge (or a spicy reality show—such a guilty pleasure!).

“She has been an integral part of the design team at C3 Toronto for several years, creating stunning activity pages and teaching materials for kids. Her designs are consistently vibrant and eye-catching, executed well, and true to the overarching brand of C3 Kids.

C3 Kids Toronto is known for creating relevant, fun, and professional-grade content, and that reputation has a lot to do with Kelsey and her work ethic. She makes for a brilliant collaborator and truly knows how to bring a vision to life!”

Why I’m so passionate about design

Design allows me to add joy, fun, and delight into something visual and tangible. There isn’t an emotion that can’t be expressed through art and design, and it can make the people who see it feel validated, comforted, connected, and hopeful.

I want to use my design skills to fortify and enrich my clients’ visions by giving them a powerful visual voice.

If we share these values, I want to hear from YOU!

Have you ever finished a labour-intensive project with someone and, even if the project was a success, it felt incomplete because you didn’t feel you’d connected with your partner? Or even worse, you felt your partner hadn’t taken the time to get to know you and listen?

Ya… I’m not about that! As your designer, I’m your partner, and I want to work TOGETHER!

COLLABORATION

“Fun” isn’t just for the finished product. If your design project is a road trip, we have an exciting destination in mind, but I also want the person in the passenger seat (that’s you!) to be someone I can have fun with on the ride there! Life’s too short!

So let’s be authentically ourselves and laugh—professionalism and fun are not synonyms!

FUN

Don’t get me wrong, making money in a business is essential! But I want to work with people who see their business as more than a money-making machine. I want to work with people who are passionate about what they do and the people they want to serve.

I want to work with genuine people whose brands and motives I can get behind and support.
